Samantha Ackles is originally from Hanford, California. She moved to Nebraska when she was 16 years old, and graduated from St. Paul in 1996. Sam started working for McDonald's when she was 15 years old at our Grand Island State Street location and she became a manager there when she was 17. She has also worked at both our 2nd street location in Grand Island and our Aurora location. Sam became the Restaurant Leader of our State Street location in 2023.
In her spare time, Sam enjoys spending time with family, swimming, taking vacations and going to baseball games. She has six kids - Madison, Alexis, Zachary, Bryanna, Haily and Vincent; and three grandkids - Myles, Maelyn and Elijah. Sam also has a cat named Molly.
When asked what she enjoys most about working for McDonald's, Sam says, “I love working with people; the customers are great. It's like family. I enjoy the challenges and fast paced environment.”
