
Early 1970's - Howard Hall reads an artile in the Reader's Digest magazine about the McDonald's franchise and drives to Chicago for an interview

1972 - Howard is approved to own and operate a McDonald's restaurant

1973 - Howard's sons, Kent and Dennis Hall, open a pharmacy in Geneva, NE

1974 - Howard sells 160 acres of his farm in Exeter, NE for a down payment to obtain a McDonald's franchise

1974 - Howard opens the Norfolk McDonald's location at the age of 50

1976 - Kent and Dennis sell their pharmacy and join forces with their father

1976 - Columbus location opens which is the state's first drive-thru McDonald's restaurant

1981 - York location opens which is the first McDonald's along an interstate

1986 - O'Neill location opens

1987 - Howard passes away at the age of 63, leaving Kent and Dennis as owners of all four locations

1993 - West Point location opens

1995 - A second Norfolk location opens

2000 - Wayne location opens

2005 - Kent passes away, leaving his son Kevin in ownership of the Norfolk, O'Neill, and Wayne locations. Dennis operates the Columbus, York and West Point restaurants

2010 - Dennis' son Greg is approved as an operator and becomes part owner of the Columbus, York, and West Point locations

2016 - Dennis' other son, Cory, is approved as an operator and becomes part owner of the same three restaurants

2017 - Greg and Cory purchase 10 additional restaurants: Aurora, Broken Bow, and Holdrege from another owner/operator; and Grand Island (2 locations), Hastings (2 locations), and Kearney (3 locations) from McDonald's corporation

2018-2021 - All restaurants are modernized and remodeled as part of McDonald's "Vision 2020" plan

2023 - Dennis passes away at the age of 73

2023 - Broken Bow location is closed

2025 - A third location in Grand Island opens
