Greg started working at the Columbus McDonald's in 1995 as crew during his summers back from college. After receiving a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1997, he decided to continue working at the restaurant and learning about the food service business instead of pursuing a career in computers.
After being a crew trainer and shift manager, he became the general manager of the Columbus restaurant in 2000. After a few years of supervising three restaurants, he began going through the approval process to become a McDonald's owner and was approved as an owner/operator in 2010. His favorite part about working at McDonald's is teaching people new information and new skills.
Greg is married and has two children. He has been a volunteer firefighter since 1997 and a volunteer EMT since 2002. In his spare time, Greg enjoys chasing tornados, skiing, and putting up a Christmas light show every year that is synchronized to music.
His favorite McDonald's meal is a McRib plain and a large iced tea with extra ice.
